Long Term Bus test

This is a long-term report on busses in the USA giving a comparison between B20 and mineral diesel. Of particular interest to Transport and bus Fleet owners is the fuel consumption table on page 4. Figure 6 on page 5 also shows that the vehicles running B20 have a lower total maintenance cost per km/ mile than those running on mineral diesel. Also of interest was that the average distance between on road call outs was 5144km for the mineral diesel vehicles but only 5846km for the B20 fueled vehicles, that’s a 700km improvement in favor of the biodiesel powered vehicles.

Biodiesel use and handling guidelines

This is an excellent document providing an explanation on what biodiesel is, how its energy content compares to that of mineral diesel and some safety guidelines for its usage. This document was released by the US department of energy and will be of interest to manufactures, distributors and end users of biodiesel and biodiesel blends.
