GC Biofuels is a technology company that has developed a unique process for the medium scale production of biodiesel. This proprietary technology was developed after extensive work with US and European partners, and offers several advantages to the biodiesel producer, including:

• External flush mount connections to you tank farm and feedstock supplies.
• GC Biofuels plants are self-powered, and require no connections to municipal services such as power and water. This means they can be deployed literally in the middle of your feedstock plantation.
• Relatively small footprint compared to plants of similar volume.

•  Waterless wash/ finishing system a feature that is especially important in Africa where there is a shortage of this precious commodity. This ensures Zero water consumption and zero possibility of accidental leakage of contaminated water. This not only gives you peace of mind but can also be a positive attribute when applying for your environmental impact assessment. The use of Amberlite BD10 DRY from Rohm & Haas provides a higher quality biodiesel than processors that use water washing.

• Our design utilizes thermal principles to ensure there is no wasted heat/energy, thus ensuring maximum process effiencey and therefore the lowest operational costs of production.
• System includes methanol recovery to lower input costs.

• Site and equipment complies with all SABS electrical codes, including those for refineries (explosive atmosphere) and has been designed by consultants with relevant experience in the petroleum industry.
• Site may be operated with minimal staff input and is controlled from central operator panel.

• All liquid lines and process units are colour coded to match the operators panel. This allows for quick identification and reference of the whole flow process.
