GC Biofuels is a proudly South African company, based in Durban, on the East coast of South Africa and was founded upon the ideal of creating a localized biofuels refining industry by designing and deploying appropriate technology that would lead to a greener future for all South Africans and a healthier environment.

At GC Biofuels, we have worked hard to make our vision a reality through dedicated research, extensive field trials, on going testing and locally designed innovative advancements in technology. The result is a scientific solution that combines principles from several industries and this innovative approach has led to much praise from the industry. One such example is the use of the world leading BD 10 Amberlite iron exchange resins that are used in the process. Today our locally produced plants are setting the pace for others to follow.

GC Biofuels offers customers a complete turnkey solution. This self-contained design generates its own power and is ideally suited to the African environment as it allows for off grid operations. There has been no compromise on safety and the equipment complies with all relevant SABS requirements. This equipment has been exported to several other African countries and is being evaluated for European operations.

GC Biofuels strategies are to develop and implement our core competencies in a manner that shares our values with communities by providing solutions to real world energy shortages. Nowhere are these challenges more apparent or needed than in Africa. GC Biofuels is a member of SABA (South African Biofuels Association) and have a proven track record in the local biofuels community. Since its inception in 2004, the company has strived to play a major role in developing the local biofuels industry by working with local and national authorities, government bodies and university researchers.
